The Spirit of Christmas Toy Drive Celebrate the season of giving by donating a new toy to the Nine Flags Festival to ensure every child in Nacogdoches County has a magical Christmas. Donated toys will be distributed through the Nacogdoches County Community Partners Board and Rainbow Room. Drop off your unwrapped toy November 12-December 10 at the Visitor Center, 200 E. Main St.

Tour de Nac New routes!
Ride through the brick streets of downtown and see the sites of the Oldest Town in Texas and the beautiful countryside surrounding it. Three new routes will be featured; all will begin and end in downtown Nacogdoches. The ride starts at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $25 for early registration and $30 for regular registration(after 11/5). Entry forms will be available at the Visitor Center, 200 E. Main Street or click here to download.

Nine Flags Christmas Festival Join us as our 14th annual Nine Flags Christmas Festival kicks off with live entertainment, carriage rides, Santa Claus at the Historic Train Depot featuring live reindeer, the unveiling of the new Christmas lights displays and, of course, great holiday shopping, a wassail competition, hayrides to the Sterne-Hoya House and Museum, children’s activities, and festival food! Be amazed as historic downtown Nacogdoches transforms itself into a Christmas wonderland with over 3 million Christmas lights. Wassail Fest
Stroll the brick streets from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and visit the historic district as participating downtown merchants compete to see who can brew up the best wassail in town. Don't miss out on your chance to vote for a winner!
Santa's Depot~NEW EVENT!
Children of all ages will have the opportunity to take pictures with Santa and his helpers during this evening event held at the newly renovated Train Depot, located at the corner of West Main St. and Old Tyler Rd. Patrons will even have a chance to meet Santa's reindeer! Funds raised will benefit Nacogdoches Historic Sites department. Time: 4-8 p.m.

Millard's Crossing Revisit Christmas at the annual, "An Old-Fashioned Christmas," at Millard's Crossing Historic Village. This charming Christmas candlelit event offers a nostalgic setting for a variety of Christmas activities in a historic village. Catch a performance of Charles Dicken's "A Christmas Carol" or try your hand at the player piano. Enjoy demonstrations of how things were done in the "old days" from lace makers to old-fashioned games, and don't forget your favorite yuletide treats! The event will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at Millard's Crossing Historic Village, 6020 North Street. $8 adults, $5 children.

Nine Flags Christmas Festival- Parade Day Pancakes with Santa
Enjoy a fun-filled breakfast with Santa at the Cafe Fredonia (inside the Hotel Fredonia, 200 N. Fredonia St., downtown). Children can enjoy the breakfast buffet as well as edible decorations to decorate their pancakes, coloring sheets, and pictures with Santa himself! Cafe opens at 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. Pancake breakfast price: $11.95 children 12 and up, $9.95 children 7-11 years of age, $5.95 children 4-6 years of age, children under 3 are free. Don't forget your camera!
Jingebell Run
The 5K run has a new certified route in addition to chip timing and is set for 8:30 a.m. in downtown Nacogdoches with the 3K walk beginning shortly thereafter. The awards presentation will be held at 10 a.m. Registration forms will be available at the Visitor Center, 200 E. Main St. and online. The race winds its way through the historic streets of the oldest town in Texas and will kick off a full day of festival activities downtown. Entry fees are $20 for early registration, $25 for regular registration and $10 for children. Click her to download registration form.
Texas Old-Time Fiddler's State Championship Contest
Junior and senior divisions followed by an out-of-state division which will feature some the best fiddlers in the country from outside the state of Texas. The contest is open to the public so come on out for some of the best family entertainment you'll ever hear. This year's competition will begin Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and will finish at 4 p.m. The music will begin again Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

First United Methodist Church Christmas Open House
The members of the First United Methodist Church invite you inside. Come enjoy music, refreshments, and a tour of the decorated church with the Youth "Live Nativity" on the front lawn. Free Admission. 201 E. Hospital St.
Lighted Christmas Parade
The largest lighted Christmas parade in East Texas will be winding its way through the historic streets of downtown Nacogdoches, which itself will be glowing with more than 3 million festive holiday lights. Following the parade is the annual fireworkds show that has become an anticipated highlight of the Nine Flags Festival. The explosive display lights up the sky above the oldest town in Texas. Gingerbread Homes for the Holiday Gingerbread Homes for the Holiday Contest! Adult and children categories. Entries will be accepted on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 5 p.m. Come view the best gingerbread homes in Nacogdoches!
